Texas Steel Detailers specializes in miscellaneous commercial Structural and architectural steel detailing. Miscellaneous steel will include items such as equipment skids, grading layouts, mezzanine, catwalks and davit cranes, Architectural steel will include gates, canopies, ladders and sidewalk boxes. We also can do small to medium sized structural steel buildings. Constructed with columns, beams and all types of bracing. Tilt-up wall detailing we will provide you with accurate embedment placement plans for tilt-up concrete buildings. We will show the placement of embedded plates and angels in each concrete wall panels and along with the concrete foundation itself. My work load normally goes up to 200 main steel members per job. This can run all the way up to about 150 tons. No job will be considered too small, even One Sheet Jobs will be done quickly. All drawing will be checked by hand and calculator (old school style) with printed sheets and red/green pens and Hi-Liters. Both times before it is sent in for approval and before the sheet are sent back for fabrication. By doing so no dimension can be missed. Insuring there will be no mistakes in my work. NO work is checked on screen or in the 3D model. |

I also use MAD-Software or Miscellaneous and Architectural Steel Detailing Software for detailing shop drawings and redrawing E-sheets. This detailing program was custom written to detail miscellaneous steel. With this software I can produce some well designed detail sheets. I have been updating MAD for over seven years. MAD can detail ladders, angles frames pipe supports and so on. Along with beams, column and bracing. |

Back in the 60's and up to the 80's drafting books had a full section covering lines, text and dimensions quality. These rules were made-up to make it easier for the shop staff to read and understand the plans. These rules are just as important today as they were back in the 80's. However most detailing companies do not follow these rules, it seems that they work for the engineers who work in quite, well-lit offices with heating and A/C units. However, its the fitters and welders who needs the detail sheets the most. They work in a poorly lit, noisy workspace with no heaters or A/C units. Along with welding arc's flashing all over. Texas Detailers is aware of these shop distractions. And our detailing software follows the old school rules of lines, text and dimensions quality. All to make the detail sheets fully understandable.
