Will  today ( 1-29-08 ) I went over to Pick & Pull Auto Junk Yard to look for aluminum rims for my 2001 XJ and maybe a front axle for my uncle's 98 Jeep XJ.  And instead I  found my old red 91 Jeep XJ there. Who ever had her last fixed the muffler and replaced the front windshield. And in the year they had her they add about 1200 miles to her clock. San Antonio Auto Auction sold Pick & Pull the XJ for $400.

All ( That was ) About my 91 Jeep XJ for sale $1000 & Sold For $1500

I'm shore some people will sale you a truck and just tale you it runs great. And you end up finding all type of thing going wrong later. But I believe in full discloser so I will tale you all the good and all the bad thing about the jeep. By the way this 91 Jeep XJ is 16 years old. and not all things work excellent. If all thing are working excellent I wood be selling the jeep over $3500 ( if at all ) The two types of people how will buy this XJ is (1) someone big in going Off-Roading (2) a car junk yard owners. and maybe someone how wood like a shore trip in town car.

About every 3 weeks I need the go to Houston Tx to pick up more work for  My Drafting Business  I can fix this jeep up for the long 600 mile trip but It will be best in the long run to just sale this truck for a bigger down payment on a newer Jeep Cherokee XJ 99~01 or maybe a Jeep ZJ.

This is my day to day truck And I do drive it around the northeast side of San Antonio TX over 25 miles each day. And sometimes  I take it downtown, A 50 miles tripe.  Including in my trips I take it off roading down to a river bed called Salado Creek just pasted Rolling Oaks Mall.

Thing that do not need to be fix

The jeep starts every time I turn the key. And it dos not stall at low RMPs.  It has a new battery and spark plugs. The steering works with out any problems. and the suspension rides a little hard but haves no other problems. The 4wd works. Power door locks and power windows all work but the left rear window is slow. Headlights and side markers all work too. Only one code in the computer it is error code "33" Air conditioning clutch relay fault. The last owner cut the clutch wire for some reason.

So many people called and wish to know if the A/C works. Will NO the A/C dos NOT work and I'm not going to fix it. Or lower my price. The power windows all work so roll them down. The way I see it, In my off time I like to go hiking about ones a week. And there is not a/c out on the trails. I got use to the heat So can you. Oh how did we humans lived with out A/C for all these 5000+ years. And did you know humans kind can survive all types of hard ships.  Now Stop Your Crying !

The longer I keep this jeep the more I'm going to fix it up and higher the prices is going to be. Next on my list is to replaces the mufflers and front windshield. But never the A/C !

Some of The Stupid Thing the last owner did

After buying my 91 Jeep XJ I fond a lot of thing the nut ball who had the truck be for me tried too fix.

(1) - Tow Hitch

The first time I saw the jeep for sale it had no tow hitch. Win I called about the price I menchn about that it did not have one. And at the time the owner sad he wished it had one. A week later I checked back to see if the jeep is store for sale. And bolted the rear bumper is a new tow hitch with a ball. The ugliest hitch I ever did see. It was bolted on with only two 1/2" Dia. bolts and one 1/2" Dia. Eye-bolt. He must think this was an improvement ! If someone was to hook up a even a small trailer to this hitch the small bolts will share right there the bump's sheet metal. Load limit about 100 pounds.

(2) - Spark Plugs

Before I bot the truck the last owner sad it need a tune-up. So I got 6 spark plug and gaped them at .035". As I stated replaces them I notice the first tree plugs wear so less I only needed a 3/4" socket and my fingers to loosen the spark plug. I fond five Bosh and one Autolight spark plugs.

(3) - Valve Cover Gasket

It looks likes the nut ball used two tube of RTV sealant instead of just buying a $5 gasket. So off to the auto part store I go. As

(4) - Door Lock Key

He gave my the wrought key for the doors. So I re-keyed the door. And installed a new engine lock.

(5) - Thermostat Housing with out gasket
Just like the Valve cover he use only RTV sealant and no gasket Along with out putting in a thermostat.

(6) - Check Engine Light

He toke the dash board apart to removed the check engine light bulb. So the light will be off. Dumb ass. I put it back in and only got one error code out of the computer  "33" Air conditioning clutch relay fault.
